On the one hand I am sympathetic to the Illinois firm but understand the courts decision regarding not to pursue the Houston organization. With the advent and growth of e-commerce, how long before the Houston company decides to extend its reach into other jurisdictions (Illinois, Ohio, etc.) and...well, what d'ya know? They're back in court again fighting the same issue! Vicious cycle!!

I am trying to develop comments in byte sizes that can be useful to most creators and users of intellectual property. Any suggestions you may have would be appreciated. bb

Interesting post, although I see that Amazing Spaces has two other registered Marks, including one that is design plus words, so I don’t feel too bad for them. No company in Texas should be able to trademark a Lone Star!

Interesting question also if there is an issue with a geographic identifier in essence being used. given the obvious connection between Texas and the Lone Star logo.
